NOW HIRING: Production & Inventory Manager

Job Location: 563 Artisan Lane, Bowen Island, BC, Canada, (Artisan Square)

Reports to: Director of Operations

Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours a week, 4 - 5 days a week

Salary Range: $32 - $37 per hour based on experience

Start Date:    Late summer / September 2026


JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day production, inventory, and purchasing activities of Sangre de Fruta Botanical. This role oversees production planning, inventory management, quality standards, raw material sourcing, and fulfillment operations while supporting and developing the production team.

Sangre de Fruta is at an exciting stage of growth, where thoughtful systems and operational excellence are needed to support increasing demand while maintaining the craftsmanship and attention to detail that define our products. The Production Manager plays a key role in balancing these priorities, ensuring our botanical products are produced efficiently, consistently, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate is equally comfortable working with production schedules, inventory reports, and purchasing plans as they are supporting hands-on production activities and mentoring team members. They are highly organized, proactive, and enjoy building processes that improve efficiency while preserving the artisanal nature of our work.

Working closely with the Director of Operations, the Production Manager will help refine systems, support operational growth, and ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional botanical products to our customers, retailers, hotels, and spa partners.

Sangre de Fruta Botanical is a luxury botanical body care and natural perfumery brand based on Bowen Island, BC. For over a decade, we have crafted products using nutrient-rich botanicals and pure essential oils, creating sensorial experiences inspired by the natural world. Our products are carried by leading retailers, hotels, and spas across North America, while our operations remain rooted in our Bowen Island studio.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Manage production team and daily production schedule and team members to ensure compliance with formulations, quality and production standards, safety regulations and efficient operations.

● Oversee raw material, finished goods and packaging inventory. Plan and execute re-ordering of production materials, ingredients and packaging as necessary. Ensure stock is rotated through FIFO to limit spoiled or outdated inventory. Oversee regular cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate

● Work with production lead and team to create product in studio from raw materials. 

● Establish priorities for manufacturing products based on production schedules to meet targets for shipments. Plans ahead to ensure production meets demand. 

● Complete on-boarding of new production hires and ensure team member training is complete for all aspects of each role and provide additional training as required.

● Work with the Director of Operations to execute the overall company strategy for Sangra de Fruta production to ensure the department meets targets and deadlines. 

● Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating systems (SOPs)

● Evaluate team member performance and provide feedback, actively coaching team members to do their best work.

● Other duties as required to deliver high quality goods to our customers and maintain a safe and productive work environment 


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

×    High school diploma, supported by ongoing professional development, or equivalent combination of experience and education 

×    Minimum 3-5 years of recent related experience 

×  Ability to lift or move boxes weighing up to 50 LBS

×    Experience in staff supervision

×    Proficient in the use of word processing, databases, spreadsheets and email (in particular Google Workspace), experience with inventory management software preferred
